Dr. Gina Buk is a native Houstonian who earned her Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Texas at Austin. While studying, she worked part-time as an optometric technician which sparked her interest in optometry. After working in the optometric field for 7 years, she went on to attain a Doctorate of Optometry from The Inter-American University of Puerto Rico.
Her rotations included a medical based private practice in Philadelphia and the Malcom Randall VA Optometry Clinic in Florida which strengthened her skills not only in primary eye care but also in medical optometry. During her rotations, Dr. Buk received specialized training in the management of ocular disease, glaucoma, eye injuries, and specialty contact lens fitting. She also managed pre and post-operative care for patients who underwent cataract and LASIK surgery. Dr. Buk is a Texas board certified Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.
When Dr. Buk isn’t caring for patients, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her two pups, Chloe and Gizzy, and fostering kittens for Houston Pets Alive.
